New Season of Our Contagious Conversations Podcast
Have you ever wondered how your zip code affects your health? Or how close we are to eradicating polio? You can explore these topics in our new season of the CDC Foundation’s Contagious Conversations podcast, which launched today.
Season 2 features a series of three in-depth conversations with individuals who are sharing their perspectives on today’s toughest health challenges, including polio eradication, health equity, maternal mortality, Hepatitis C treatment and more.
Our Season 2 guests include:
- Dr. Richard Besser, president and CEO, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation;
- Dr. Rebekah Gee, secretary, Louisiana Department of Health; and
- Carol Pandak, director, PolioPlus, Rotary International.
I am an avid listener of several podcasts, but hosting a podcast has been a really rewarding experience. It has been a pleasure to interview so many amazing and engaging guests. I have learned more about what it takes to immunize 2.5 billion children against polio. I’ve discussed the issues of health equity and what it means to put a patient first in medical care. I learned how the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is working to build a culture of health in America.
We are excited about this latest season, and I hope you learn something new from these individuals who are playing a vital role in making the world safer and healthier for us all.
