Show Some Love for the CDC Foundation through the Combined Federal Campaign

Did you know that there is a simple way for our colleagues who work for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to help save and improve millions of lives? Simply by designating support to the CDC Foundation through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), CDC employees can support the CDC Foundation either through payroll deductions or a one-time donation. This year’s campaign, themed “Show Some Love,” encourages federal employees to give to their favorite charitable cause during the CFC giving season through Jan. 12, 2018.

Federal employees in Georgia can visit peachbeltcfc.org to donate through the CFC. A centralized giving portal for CFC contributors, new in 2017, makes it easy to create a profile, manage pledge information, charity payments and more. By selecting CFC Charity number 10141, CDC staff can join with the CDC Foundation, an independent nonprofit organization, as we work toward common goals to protect the health, safety and security of America and the world.

When a health threat strikes, speed saves lives—including the lives of our CDC family. One example of how together we can have greater impact is our support of CDC’s response to the devastating hurricanes that impacted the Gulf Coast states and U.S. territories. Our work with CDC includes not only addressing critical recovery needs for families and communities affected by these disasters, but also for the CDC employees and contractors working in these communities. Thanks to the generous donations of more than 100 CDC employees, the CDC Health Worker Relief Fund is providing basic needs to our CDC colleagues in Puerto Rico who are struggling during the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.

CDC employees who are interested in designating their CFC gift to the CDC Health Worker Relief Fund, or another restricted fund, are encouraged to contact the CDC Foundation directly at (404) 653-0790 or advancement@cdcfoundation.org

When we work together, we have the means, science and reach to improve the public’s health. Through this important campaign, CDC employees have the opportunity to advance hundreds of CDC-led programs throughout the world that give people the opportunity for safer, healthier lives. Every donation to the CFC helps, and we are grateful to all of our CDC colleagues who are helping to advance CDC’s lifesaving work to protect us all.
