A Year of Impact: Celebrating Our Partners
We simply could not do our work without you, and generous donors like you are helping us save and improve more lives every day.
“A dollar spent on public health is one of the highest yielding investments possible,” says CDC Foundation supporter Bob Yellowlees, retired chairman of the boards of Global Payments, Inc. and NDC Health. Bob’s support is one of the stories of impact in the CDC Foundation’s Fiscal Year 2018 Report to Donors, which was released today. View the Report
In addition to being a long-time donor, Bob supported our work during the past year on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) 2017 hurricane response in hard-hit Puerto Rico. To advance the response, Bob committed matching funds to encourage others to join in. His donation made possible a critical island-wide vaccination campaign at the height of Puerto Rico’s flu season.
In this year’s Report to Donors, covering July 1, 2017–June 30, 2018, you’ll find other fascinating stories of impact as well, from a potentially game-changing approach to vaccine delivery to a 3-D body measurement tool that aids in getting a read on children’s health. You can also explore highlights of our work, ranging from securing the globe from disease threats to an effort linking at-risk teens to programs.
At the CDC Foundation we believe that together our impact is greater, and with your support this past fiscal year, this message is especially timely and relevant.
While we are extremely proud of our efforts to extend CDC’s lifesaving work, we know that none of these accomplishments would be possible without your incredible support. It’s you, along with CDC’s expertise and science, who improve the health and well-being of millions of people.
Thank you for your dedication, your support and your commitment to impact.
