Atlanta, GA | September 27-28, 2023
The CDC Health Data Innovation Summit brought together key partners to continue sharing insights on high priority public health information challenges and to foster collaborations to address those challenges. Key partners included State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Health Departments (STLTs), healthcare providers, community-based organizations, academia, technology vendors, industry and others.
Building on the CDC-ONC Industry Days that was hosted on February 27-28, 2023, this two-day event accomplished several goals, including:
- Informed partners about the CDC's strategic direction, major areas of work, emerging areas of work and the highest priority areas in which the CDC is seeking support,
- Provided networking opportunities, such as cross-sector, problem-based workgroup activities, in order to build partnerships and generate further innovations,
- Promoted opportunities for partners to collaborate with CDC/STLTs on national and STLT public health priorities,
- Educated CDC staff about important and arising tools and methods used in industry,
- Provided partners with opportunities to describe and demo their services to public health decision makers,
- Provided public health with the opportunity to assess the utility and applicability of industry solutions to existing or emerging problems.
