Privacy Protecting Record Linkage (PPRL) Summary
- This report summarizes an October 22, 2022, expert panel discussion of benefits, implementation barriers and sustainability strategies for implementing PPRL for public health purposes. PPRL can enable linking data from two organizations using links that do not reveal persons identities.
Modernizing Health Data Analytics and Forecasting (Listening Sessions)
- This report and summary are from two three-hour, multi-sector listening sessions to seek input on needs and gaps in public health forecasting. The listening sessions were held on July 22 and 28, 2021. These listening sessions engaged stakeholders across the private, public health, healthcare and academic sectors. Participants discussed ways to catalyze transformative advances in forecasting, mathematical modeling and other analytical capabilities in the United States and globally.

Policy Listening Session: Insights from National Associations
- On January 5, 2022, the CDC Foundation convened policy experts from national public health associations for a moderated listening session. The meeting objective was to gain insights from the associations into policy considerations that could facilitate or serve as challenges to the introduction of Bulk FHIR for public health use at the state, tribal, local and territorial (STLT) levels.
- On June 28, 2022, the CDC Foundation convened legal experts who advise state, tribal, local and territorial (STLT) partners on data sharing matters for a moderated listening session. The meeting objective was to gain insights into policy and legal challenges to exchanging public health data and improving interoperability. Experts were asked to share individual experiences within their respective jurisdictions in adopting new standards and other data modernization efforts
