Seattle, WA | August 17-18, 2023
The Washington Health Data Innovation Summit brought together key partners to learn about, and collaborate on, high priority public health information challenges that impact the health, wellness and prosperity of Washingtonians. The goal of the summit was to convene distinguished representatives from the public and private sectors to showcase examples of successful partnerships between regional government and industry and consider catalytic opportunities to unlock and modernize essential public health information. This opportunity focused on how multi-sector partnerships can drive innovation in health data information systems – innovations that ultimately help improve health outcomes, lower healthcare costs and spur economic growth for every Washingtonian.
Building on the CDC-ONC Industry Days that was hosted on February 27-28, 2023, this two-day event accomplished several goals, including:
- Continued conversations and expanded on ideas and innovations introduced during the CDC and ONC Industry Days event in February 2023,
- Communicated CDC needs and priorities centered on the CDC Public Health Data Strategy,
- Shared local/regional successes and partnerships with locally available/regional industry,
- Provided partners with opportunities to describe their services,
- Featured a panel of Leaders from Public Health, Academia and Industry,
- Provided networking opportunities, and
- Informed a partnership model that can be used by national, state and local partners to transform how health information serves the public’s health, communities and diverse sectors.
